Israel strikes Lebanon as Hezbollah decries “acts of war”

Israeli warplanes struck dozens of targets across south Lebanon Thursday and conducted a raid on the town of al-Haniyeh, which it claims was targeting Hezbollah missiles and infrastructure. At least two Israeli soldiers have died in the raid, but the total number of casualties, military and civilian, is unclear. The Israeli strikes come after Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkies across Lebanon and Syria exploded in coordinated attacks over two days, killing at least 26 people and injuring around 3,000.
