Associate Director, Business Operations
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Business Operations lead to join the GZERO Media team. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, working at the nexus of GZERO Media and Eurasia Group's broader initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a systems person, very organized and structured, a strong communicator and collaborator, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain the GZERO vendor tracker to assist key stakeholders in managing controllable costs.
- Prepare and submit monthly expense reports to the Finance department.
- Review and approve vendor invoices in coordination with Eurasia Group’s COO and CEO.
- Act as a liaison with EG’s Operations, HR, and Finance departments to implement or coordinate initiatives within GZERO Media.
- Provide business services support for shared initiatives between EG and GZERO.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline business operations for improved efficiency.
- Maintain the client servicing tracker, ensuring deliverables are tracked and managed effectively.
- Provide regular status updates and support to the Director of Partnerships, addressing obstacles and implications for client deliverables.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of all Business Development documents, including funder letters, sales contracts, and project proposals.
- Create project documents such as schedules, requirements, deliverables, and stakeholder reviews to ensure successful execution.
- Serve as a point of contact for cross-team coordination on multifaceted projects, ensuring alignment of actions.
- Support other team leaders in project management across GZERO Media.
- Update GZERO’s BD pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring opportunity status is accurately recorded and coordinated with the Office of Operations Planning (OOP).
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Mid-level experience with a strong focus on operations within a media or related environment.
- Highly organized, system-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with proven experience in a coordinator role.
- Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment with a hybrid work option.
- Bachelor's degree required; relevant certifications or further education are a plus.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

It was created in 2017 as a subsidiary of Eurasia Group, the world’s leading political risk analysis firm. Our coverage takes many forms in digital media and broadcast television.
Position Overview:
GZERO Media is seeking an Intern to support the work of our editorial and social team. While no previous journalism experience is required, journalism and broadcast students are highly encouraged to apply. This role provides ample opportunity to explore many facets of digital journalism and storytelling, both written and video. The ideal intern for our team is passionate about global affairs and politics, eager to learn about newsletter building and publishing, and has a solid understanding of how media brands interact with audiences across social media channels. The internship will be conducted in person in the NYC or DC office. Applicants should be students of an academic institution.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with GZERO's managing editor and the newsletter team. Contribute to the writing and publishing of GZERO's Daily and weekly newsletters. Tasks will include research, coordinating guests, interviewing sources, writing, and conducting digital operations.
- Work closely with the social media manager on crafting social copy and strategy for news content
Qualifications:
- Applicants should be students at an academic institution
- Experience in a newsroom or deadline-driven content company a plus
- Passion for international news and analysis
- Professional presentation and ability to interact with high-level guests and clients
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Highly organized, efficient, and effective communicator
- Must excel in working with teams across the organization as well as external partners
Location/Time: NY or DC offices, 40 hours a week, hybrid
Compensation: $16 an hour
Internship dates: June 3- August 2 (you must be available for the entire time frame)
